 NO FAILURE WITHOUT UUUUUUU…..

I HAVE OFTEN PONDERED ON THE WORD ‘’FAILURE’’, PARTLY BECAUSE AT A POINT IN TIME I THOUGHT I HAD FAILED. WHILE AT ANOTHER INSTANCE I BELIEVED FAILURE WAS JUST A STEPPING STONE TO SOMETHING UNIQUE AND OUTSTANDING. ONE DAY, I LOOKED AT THE SKY AND I BEHELD THE BEAUTY OF GOD’S WORK. HE WAS NEVER A FAILURE!  HE CREATED EVERYTHING BEAUTIFULLY, COLOURFULLY AND PERFECTLY. THEN AND THEN I REALISED THAT THERE IS NEVER A FAILURE WITHOUT ‘’U’’. WE ALL ARE THE ARCHITECT OF OUR OWN LIVES.

WHAT IS FAILURE? WHAT IS THE DETERMINANT OF FAILURE? IS FAILURE TO BE DREAD OR SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT?

Bernard Shaw one of the famous writers said ‘’my reputation grows with every failure’’. There was a man who failed in business at the age of 21, was defeated in a legislative election at the age of 22, failed again in business at 24, overcame the death of his girlfriend at 26, had a nervous breakdown at 27, lost congressional election at age 34, lost a senatorial race at 45, failed to become vice president at age 49 and was finally elected President of the most powerful Nation in the world. He was nobody other than ABRAHAM LINCOLN. HE HAD A LOT OF SETBACKS BUT NEVER GAVE UP. Thomas Edison, one of the greatest scientist to grace our planet failed on the light bulb and when people asked him to keep quiet, he told them that ‘’he was not discouraged because every wrong attempt was a step forward’’.

I think failure is an illusion created by the mind and people around us to make us give up. I have come to realize that every success story is also a story of a great failure. The only difference is that the successful people never gave up. Thomas Edison was partially deaf and was expelled from school because his teacher considered him STUPID.Today, we remember him for all his discoveries in the science world. 

Thus, I think it is high time we update our dictionary, to remove some words and change the meaning of some words. Failure is one of those words whose meaning should be changed for there is no such thing as failure. It is just an opportunity to improve on one’s endeavor.

Have you failed at certain points in your life? What exactly  are you working towards to achieve in life? Have people mocked you, your family, friends, siblings, husband, wife, leader, children? I am sure that by the Special Grace of God Almighty we would have a great landing at our desired God ordained destination. Putting in mind the word of God that says ‘’ for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end/destination’’

My question to you i mean you, you don't need to loook back cos i am talking to you, to that beautiful U reading this now, ''how high can you soar'' A lot of youth are afraid of taking giant steps not too talk of flying and soaring far above the tallest mountain. you never can tell how far you can soar until you try, even if you tried and failed keep trying even if you fall you will not die Stand up Get up beauty awaits you under every star. NEVER EVER SAY NEVER. keep on flying high keep on soaring high like an eagle even in the toughest of the storm, beauty awaits you at the other side. Remember no good comes easy.

Are you sore when you try soaring or does soaring remove pains and afflications? well, whatever is the answer to this question i want you to know that the sore is just but for a few moments after several trial and pesistent you will scale through and forget all the sores you encountered along the way. Have you ever read 'Jonathon Livingston Seagull' by Bach? The higher you soar, the freer and more peaceful you are. Sometimes in the frenzy and hectic nature of life we forget its beauty and its gift.

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their time trying to make you look small so they can look tall. They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever good enough! When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters... That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing you blessed... It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right? You never know what people have gone through to get what they have... The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story... If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too! We've all got some haters among us! 

Some people envy you because you can: a) Have a relationship with God 

                                                                      b) Light up a room when you walk in 

                                                       c) Start your own business 

                                                                                      d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb (if he / she isn't about the right thing) 

                                                                                       e) Raise your children without both parent being in the home 

Haters can't stand to see you happy. Haters will never want to see you succeed. Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side. How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by: 

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not mean having a job. You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not human manipulation. Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters 

'Don't look at me...Look at Who is in charge of me....'

Happy new month to all my friends, families, colleagues and well wishers. I want to welcome you all to the 8th month of the year 2012, A SPECIAL MONTH IN A SPECIAL YEAR

Lying on my bed with everything white and blue, with my eyes closed tightly after a wonderful night rest i stretched my arms and legs feeling so weak and lazy to get out of bed, i opened my eyes and gave the ceiling a long stir, Suddenly my phone rang, oh My God i spranged up to pick up the phone because i could remember i slept off holding my phone expecting my heart would call just to wish me a good night rest and a kiss via the line for a beautiful night. But lo and behold i slept off wishing my phone would ring, have anyone ever been like that before? Oh i could hear you say yes! well i spranged up and guess what my dream came true his voice was sweet and tender just to wish me a beautiful morning and month, i smiled like a young pretty little baby. It was just there and there it dawned on me that we have entered a new month THE MONTH OF AUGUST: THE MONTH OF BLUE MOON

The month of August brings us not one, but two full moons. The first will kick off the month on Wednesday (Aug.1), and will be followed by a second on Aug. 31.The full moon that night will likely look no different than any other full moon. But the moon can change color in certain conditions. Some almanacs and calendars assert that when two full moons occur within a calendar month, the second full moon is called a "blue moon."

 The phrase "once in a blue moon" was first noted in 1824 and refers to occurrences that are uncommon, though not truly rare. Yet, to have two full moons in the same month is not as uncommon as one might think.  In fact, it occurs, on average, about every 2.66 years.  And in the year 1999, it occurred twice in a span of just three months.

I once felt like that in fact not once not twice not thrice i mean severally, the more you get worried about something or someone the more you hurt yourself. If care is not taking you become depressed and aggressive at almost everything. why dont you just stand up now get up now wipe that tears off your face and put a smile on your face just because you are not alone in that situation God is right by your side, His got your back remember His word '' I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU'' His wonderful eyes are watching you and i He is the ever present help in time of trouble call upon him with a clean and sincere heart, after which you wait on him happily joyfully irrespective of all odds knowing fully well that LIFE WILL SOON GET TIRED OF UPSETTING YOU THEREBY LEAVING YOU TO LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST joyfully.Open your heart today, smile and pray about every step, action, project, decision, and thing you want to do.

FORMS OF JEALOUSY

There are many different types of jealousy that the human body can experience. Jealousy can be seen in everyday activities and settings. Jealousy is an intense emotion that is associated with the loss of services or outcomes associated with other individuals. This intense emotion can be seen or experienced in family situations, at work, in romantic relationships and even between friends.

• Sibling rivalry – Sibling rivalry is a common form of family jealousy. Family jealousy can affect all ages and different members of any family. This jealousy can arise from lack of attention from a specific member in the family. More attention towards another member of the family can cause this emotion or the emotion can be seen through comparison to another member in the family. This type of jealousy is once again in result of losing some sort of attention or services that someone once had or that they believe that they had.

• Workplace jealousy – Jealousy in the work place is not uncommon. People can experience jealousy of one another in practically any setting that one person feels like they are losing services from something or someone else. This type of jealousy is often seen between colleagues in similar job positions. If one worker receives positive feedback from the boss while the other employee feels like they deserved that, positive feedback jealousy can arise. Jealousy between colleagues can also arise if the employees are working for a raise or trying to outdo each other for similar job positions. Once again, the attention received towards one employee and not the other may cause intense emotions of jealousy to develop.

• Romantic jealousy – Romantic jealousy can be experienced in long-term or short-term relationships. One partner can feel the emotion of jealousy arise if the other partner is paying more attention or time with someone else. To lose services from one partner and have their attention directed towards someone else does not have to be in a romantic way. One partner could be spending more time with a friend that no romantic feelings could ever develop.

• Platonic jealousy – Platonic jealousy is a form of jealousy that is seen in friendships. Platonic jealousy is similar to romantic jealousy in the way that this type of relationship can lead to jealousy in result of fear of being replaced, having competition or being compared to a third party. For example, the intense emotion of jealousy can arise if two friends that are females decide that they like the same man and both want to possibly start a romantic relationship with him. Comparison and competition will more often than not lead to the two females experiencing the emotion of jealousy.

This month of July we are going to be discussing extensively about jealously and how we can avoid it in order for us to experience a stress free relationship with our friends and families. so...............do have a wonderful weekend.

JEALOUSY: THE GREEN EYED MONSTER

According to wikipedia, the free encyclopidea dictionary Jealousy is an emotion and typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety over an anticipated loss of something that the person values, particularly in reference to a human connection. Jealousy often consists of a combination of presenting emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness and disgust. It is not to be confused with envy.
Jealousy is a familiar experience in human relationships. It has been observed in infants five months and older. Some claim that jealousy is seen in every culture; however, others claim jealousy is a culture-specific phenomenon.

"The only Scriptures that give me any trouble," said Mark Twain, "are those I fully understand."
And I suppose a lot of people may be troubled by the words of this scripture when they fully understand its meaning:
Jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire.
(Song of Solomon 8:6)
Like the grave, jealousy intrudes upon all ages and sexes and types and conditions of humanity. Jealousy IS cruel as the grave.
It was Shakespeare who said:

"O beware of jealousy!
It is the green-eyed monster
That doth mock the meat it feeds upon."

I. ITS COMMONNESS
Have you ever felt the fire of jealousy in your heart? Has this serpent ever hissed in your ear? Has "getting to the top" so possessed you that hearing your nearest rival publicly praised causes you pain? Is there someone whose attractiveness and popularity you secretly hate? Is there "someone special" who is superior to you and their advancement causes you to secretly desire their public humiliation? Is there even one, solitary person in this world whose affection you fear might be turning to someone else? Then, beware of jealousy!
Jealousy! Its empire extends from the brute creation to man, the prince of creation. The first crime that stained the first pages of human history was committed by a jealous man. Cain was the first human ever born through humanity itself. And Cain became so insanely jealous of his own brother, Abel, that he murdered him.
Jealousy knows no boundaries, no limits. It is common to all people everywhere and in all walks of life. It is common among brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, in-laws, lovers, friends, business associates and even preachers of the gospel.
II. ITS COST
Jealousy does cost. It's expensive. Jealousy uncovers bottomless pits of wickedness in people, provoking them to even the most horrible of crimes. Jealousy lures the soul on to a fierce banquet of suspicion and hate, only to torture it with starvation.
Solomon said in Proverbs 27:4 (NIV) – Who can stand before jealousy?
As a moth gnaws a garment, so does jealousy gnaw at one's spiritual vitals until it destroys him. The jealous person poisons his own banquet – and then eats it.
Jealousy is like a boomerang. It always comes home to haunt you, then to hurt you.
Shakespeare said, "No, not the hangman's axe bears half the keenness of thy sharp envy."
I challenge you to show me a jealous person who is a happy person. Jealousy hurts the attacker more than the attacked. It ravages the nobler instincts of a man or woman and prods them and prompts them to become the kind of person who hates themselves and everybody else. Jealousy really is as cruel as the grave.
III. ITS CURES
The time to attack jealousy is when you first feel the heat of its blistering fire. Just as thousands of lives could be saved each year from malignant cancer through early diagnosis and treatment, multiplied thousands of people could have a right relationship with themselves, with others, and with God if they would attack this green-eyed monster – jealousy – when it first rears its ugly head.
It isn't easy to slay a monster. And especially a green-eyed monster like jealousy. But it must be done. And it should begin right now.
I offer these five simple suggestions to cure jealousy and slay the monster:

1) Stop living within yourself entirely. Start doing something for God, and/or for someone else, without even the slightest thought of any return.

2) Get involved in God's work. It's too big and too critically important to be annoyed or destroyed by petty jealousies.

3) Apply the golden rule. "Do unto others as if you were the 'others'."

4) Cultivate the presence of Jesus in your life moment by moment.

5) Open up your life and start giving.

Where God's love dwells in all its fullness, there is no room for jealousy. Then and only then will your life become a life of peace instead of pieces.

BEWARE OF JEALOUSY THE GREEN EYED MONSTER................

NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!

There was a brother who lived a reckless life. his mother was always crying because of his way of life she cried and prayed everyday asking God to save and change her little boy that the father left for her alone to take care when he was just 5years...................Deniis dropped out of school when he was just 17 years he never finished his secondary school he was known all around as a notorious boy who steals, rapes and abuses everyone and anyone that comes accross him, until one day he came back after leaving the house for 4 days to meet his mother dead.

Hmmnnnn.............he cried and cried all to no avail all the family has deserted them due to his useless behavior, he ran to his mothers church and informed them, they all came weeping, took up the dead body and prepared for the burial. they never recieved help from the family.

Something great happened to the boy one day exactly 15 days after his mothers death, he knelt down to God asking for delivearnce, healing and forgiveness of sins. He remembered how he has turned a deaf ear to all his mothers wise sayings. he shouted, screamed and cried aloud OH GOD PLEASE FORGIVE ME ALL MY SINS COME INTO MY LIFE AND MAKE ME A NEW BEING. He changed his friends and stareted going to church. he became an evangelist for Christ but things where really tough for him, he couldn't get a job because he was totally a dull head and his past deeds kept knocking at his door. 4 years after he became so frustrated because things were really hard for him, he needed a wife, money and job but the reverse was his case. in his heart he thought ''GOD WHY HAVE FORSAKEN ME AND MADE LIFE SO UNBEAREABLE FOR ME YOU HOW I USE TO GET MONEY IN THE WORLD BEFORE I GAVE MY LIFE TO I THOUGHT YOU SAID IN YOUR WORD THAT SEEK YE FIRST THE KNIGDOM OF GOD AND OTHER THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU SO WHERE ARE MY ADDITIONS NOW WHERE I HAVE EVANGELIZED ROUND TOWN NOT MINDING THE MOLESTATION AND CRITICISMS I RECEIVE FROM FAMILY, FRIENDS AND PASSERBY'' WELL I AM TURNIING BACK NOW I CANNNOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE, I AM GOING BACK TO MY OLD LIFE''

Haaaa...............what a pity!!!! He went back to his old life brothers and sisters from the church came to minister to him again to hold on to his faith that all will soon pass away that it is just a test of our faith..........he cried and prayed with them but after they left he started his old life again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Unknowing to him they were already working up a job for him that will be paying him 170,000 naira per month for the start.

Lo and behold just the night they came to give him his appointment letter he went for an operation with his friends to rub a rich man...................hmmmnnnn he never returned he died from the gun shots of the police men others were arrested and jailed for further judgment.

My brothers and sisters what exactly are you going through and you think God does not understand. What particular situation have you prayed and fasted on and thought God is not ready to answer. Are you frustrated from unemployment, lack of money,love, joy or are you over 35 and yet no man or woman has ever called you. please NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is never too late or too early He does his things just at he right time pls keep your faith because HIS EARS ARE NOT DEAF THAT HE CANNOT HE YOU NEITHER ARE HIS EYES BLIND THAT HE CANNOT SEE WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH. HE NEVER SLEEPS NOR SLUMBERS HE WATCHES OVER US ALL and you know what He feels your pains all he wants is youur total submission. 

Why don't you switch over to Praise right now and you will see HIM MOVE MIGHTILY ON YOUR BEHALF. HOLD ON NEVER GIVE UP YOUR PRAYERS HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.

 Are you confused? Are you discouraged? Are you stucked up in life? You dont know what to do again? Are you deserted by friends, family and loved ones? It seems nothing is ever working!

take a bend and make a u-turn or jump the fence or make a loop hole for escape.................
lesson: at every point in life when it seems all hope is lost take a deep breath and make a u-turn asking for Gods direction never ever give up in life or remain stagnant in life.................be on the move and pause whenever needed to ask for God's divine direction. God knows the end from the beginning, and the beginning from the end........remember he is the Alpha and Omega.
                                                        

OVERCOMING THE TEMPTER AND LIVING VICTORIOUSLY

 1Cor.10:13. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 

The Lord this day is directing our attention to this message that touches on the common experience of all men. Temptation is a common experience of all men educated or illiterate, rich or poor, religious or in-religious. Temptation in its self is not a sin it is yielding to temptation that is a sin. As you go through the bible you see that there are two camp those who overcame temptation and lived victoriously and those who were defeated in temptation they yielded to temptation thereby lost their liberty and victory. When we talk of those that overcame which the company the Lord wants us to join. These includes Joseph, Enoch, Job, Sons of Rechab, Daniel and his friends, Paul the apostle and our lord and Master Jesus Christ. These and many others were overcomers over temptation and lived victoriously. While there are others like Esau, Adam and Eve, David, Solomon, Samson, Judas Iscariot, Demas etc. they fail at the time of temptation and lost the victory of the believer. 

The tempter is the devil and he uses things, situations, men, women, friends, family members, money, your flesh etc. to pose temptation to you. But God has promised to keep us at the hour of temptation. 2Peter.2:9. Hebrews.4:15-16. SATAN’S PURPOSE IN TEMPTATION: Gen.3:1-7; Luke.4:1-13. Mt.19:3. Mt.22:15-18. Satan is the chief tempter. Till today he is still in the business of tempting men and women, boys and girls. And his purposes in temptation are as follow. (1) To cause people to disobey God and His commandments. (2) To make people to doubt God and His love. (3) To make people to depart from the path of righteousness. (4) To make people defile their life and conscience. (5) To destroy the purpose of God in the life of man. (6) To make people defeated in their life and Christian journey. (7) To bring disgrace in people life. (8) To degrade men and women. (9) To defame the name of the Lord through the sinner or backslider. (10) To damn the soul in hellfire. SAVIOUR’S PROMISE TO THE TEMPTED: 1Cor.10:13; Isaiah.43:1-2; Hebrews.2:18; Rev.3:10; Hebrews.4:15-16; 2Peter.2:9; Judevs.24-25. 

The Saviour’s promise to the tempted is very clear in the scriptures. He said I will make a way of escape, He will keep the godly at the hour of temptation, and he will supply all the needed grace. The Lord overcame in all the temptation that came to Him and He is able to support and succor us in all our temptations. It is His will that we overcome and live the victorious life.

 SECRETS OF OVERCOMING TEMPTATION AND LIVING VICTORIOUSLY: Ps.119:9-11; Mt.4:1-10; Mt.26:41; 1Cor.7:1, 5; James.1:13-16; Rom.12:11; Daniel.1:8; Gen.39:7-12; 1Thess.5:22. The following steps will help us to overcome temptations at all times and to live victoriously. (1) Watch and pray. (2) Store the word of God in your heart and meditate on it constantly. (3) Separate yourself from all objects of temptation and all appearances of evil. (4) Stay close to your spouse if you are married and if you are unmarried avoid all unnecessary closeness with the opposite sex. (5) Have self discipline and self-control. (6) Learn to say no to invitation to evil and to stand uncompromisingly in righteousness. (7) Lean on God and His grace. Jeremiah.35:1-18.
